Dear colleagues,
Members of ESA Council and representatives of all national anaesthesia societies are invited to comment on the new draft ESA guidelines on the preoperative evaluation of adults. These guidelines are produced as a service to ESA members and are offered to national anaesthesia societies for local adaptation as desired.
These ESA guidelines have been produced by an expert task force. The scientific content will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Subcommittees of the ESA. Members of Council are free to comment on this if they wish, but we would be especially pleased to read comments on the following points:
- Practicality. How well do the guidelines address everyday situations and problems in this area?
- Readability. Are the guidelines easy to read? Do they make sense?
- Presentation. Is the layout clear?
- Acceptability and generalisability. Do they fit into practice in your own country? Would the guidelines as written cause problems, or antagonise anyone?
We would be pleased if you could identify yourself or your society when you submit a comment and we would like to acknowledge your contribution in the final guideline. If you do not wish to be named in the final published version, please tell us when you submit your comment.
